FOHA in partnership with the Adehyeman coral grpup ( a music ministry) within the Catholic Church organized a free health screening for the members of the Christ the King Cathedral at sunyani. Adebyeman as part of their nation programme sponsored the screening services for the members of the church especially the aged. The screening was on Diabetes Mellitus, Blood pressure, Body Mass index, Hepatitis B testing and General medical Consultation. The programme brought together 100 clients amidst downpour of heavy rains. The patronage was very high and the members embraced the programme with excitement. Clients whose blood pressure were higher than 140/90 mmHg were asked to go to the nearest health centre or hospital near them for recheck, people with equally high sugar levels were referred to the next health facility for possible medication. Nutritional counsel was given to those whose body massage index were found to be high( obese, overweight as well as underweight ) clients. The leadership of the church and the Adehyeman group we're grateful to FOHA for bringing health care to the doorsteps of their members. Those who tested negative for Hepatitis B were asked to go for the Help B vaccine whiles those who tested positive were asked to do liver functioning test.
